After three Halloween parties and other various seasonal activities, I think we are ready for a break. At least a break from dressing up. The costumes I made for the kids are as follows: Isaac was a garden gnome, Isabelle was Princess Leia, and Sophia was Shirley Temple. But... we couldn't be the same thing at every party!
That would be a travesty!
Lee and I were two bad Vegas performers at a couples party, Lee was an Indian brave, Kokuum to Isaac, I was a care bear, Jenny and I were Thing 1 and Thing 2, Isabelle was a pumpkin and a black cat, Isaac was a fireman and devil, and Sophia was a witch and Shirley in her dress.
And I actually felt guilty that I didn't find the time to make a NEW costume for Lee and I.
Okay, if you haven't noticed, I am making fun of myself. Some people collect books, others collect coins, and a few may even collect shoes... well, I collect costumes... And fabric, and 80's toys, and art supplies, but I would say that costumes make up about 90% of my collecting! Why do I do this? Who knows, maybe I dream of transforming into something else, or perhaps I wish to be a big movie star, or maybe I was a black cat for Halloween one too many times as a kid. Whatever the reason, I can't seem to quit the habit.
On Halloween day we made yummy spooky pizzas at the Harris house.

There seemed to be a trailer trash theme going at the couples party.
Playing in the leaves, or should I say messing up the piles.
Playing the bone toss game, as Isaac adds the challenge of axe dodging.
Isabelle found some snuggle buddies at the Erickson's fabulous festival by the fire, it was so fun! FFF
Diggin' through the leaves for prizes.
This is the first year that Isaac has figured out the joy of trick-or-treating. Everyone got a kick out of the little gnome. We had a fabulous time with our fabulous friends!

so, 3 costumes each huh. that is so fun. at least you get good use out of all those costumes right? Oh, and Joey wants to say he liked looking at your blog because it reminded him of all of his exciting halloweens as a kid spent with the georgis in kaysville at tutu's or the valley but always with the georgis. and we want to know who the guy is with the mom "tatoo". and last thing - those pizzas are awesome. a dinasaur pizza?! And we really like the two faces in the bottom left picture. very cool. oh ok and really this will be the last - but garden nome is probably the coolest costume i've seen this halloween.
