We Heart You!

It's just not Valentine's Day without heart shaped sugar cookies with red hots!
Well, as far as I'm concerned. Who needs roses and romance when you can have butter, sugar and white flour? Okay, I don't mind the roses and romance, but mmmm, red hots!!!

We would love to wish you all a lovely valentine's day, with lots of hugs and kisses and sugar drenched goodness. The kids and I have consumed extremely large quantities of chalky hearts with sappy sentiments along with many other gooey chewy and chocolaty treats. (somehow Lee escaped from the curse of the sugar fiend gene) Though I do love sugar in all forms, I think the holidays at our house have been taken over by the craving, consuming, and bellyaching of sugary substances. I think I'll have to dream up a way to incorporate the eating of more veggies into our holidays. Instead of an Easter egg hunt, I can hide broccoli, cauliflower and maybe a cucumber or two. I think it would be a smashing success, don't you?

Here is Isaac feeding man size bites of yogurt to his Issy-belle.
I had to post this note. I found it on the floor the other day, and if you can't read it it says "2 more days until Spencer's Homecoming". Spencer is my youngest male cousin, and he recently returned home from his mission, and his homecoming was last Sunday. Sophia just loves him to pieces, as well as all the Taylors! I just think it's so cute that she was so excited for him to come home. Welcome home Spencer, we are all glad to have you home!

I am all for hiding veggies for easter egg hunts. But I have to be honest with you.....I had a bad visual on imagining what agony that poor easter bunny went through laying those "eggs". Ouch!
